Wellbeing & Pastoral Care

Prioritising the welfare of every child

No matter if they’re in the Early Years, Pre-Prep or Prep, there is nothing more important than the happiness and wellbeing of the children in our care.

We provide a small, family environment which fosters a sense of belonging and allows our children to feel happy, confident and secure.

We encourage kindness throughout the school, starting with a buddy system for all new joiners. Our older pupils often support our very youngest with activities in the classrooms to build community and care.

Our parent and pupil surveys each year inform us how we are doing and how we can develop that further; parents make it clear that they value the small, family environment where nurture is fundamental to all we do.

Our School Inspections from ISI and regular Cognita audits mention Safeguarding and its management "are a real strength of the school". this is the highest priority and all our staff are responsible for ensuring that our pupils can learn in a happy and inclusive environment.

My son is extremely happy at Clifton. I feel like his wellbeing is cared for as well as his education.

Extra support for our pupils

To support our pupils, Clifton Lodge has partnered with HelpingKids Ltd, offering life coaching for children. We hold individual sessions with pupils at the school to help children with anxieties, behaviour issues and confidence.

In addition, we run regular parenting seminars at the school to give parents interactive support and guidance. To find out more, you can get in touch with HelpingKids Ltd below.

Safeguarding

Support for pupils in all areas of school life

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff, volunteers and other third parties to share this commitment.

We create a safe and positive learning environment to nurture children and prioritise their wellbeing.
